Owned for about 12 years.
Originally sable coloured, repainted 7 or 8 years ago in the "same" colour.
Oddly it came back in Golden Sand. The car doesn't see much action as I work at home and tend to only go out on the weekends.
Now it is seeing even less time out as I take the Stag whenever the sun shines. As much as I love driving the Stag, the Jag is a far more comfortable journey.....grace, pace and space.

The Stag was Triumph's attempt to create a GT to compete with the Mercedes and Jaguar cars of the day. Triumph had designed a 3 litre V-8 engine from their inline 4 cylinder motor to power the Stag. Initial problems kept the Stag from becoming all it could be. The simple solution would have been to use the 3.5 litre Rover engine ( built under license from GM….their 215 cu.in. ) as Triumph was now British Leyland, but they did not. The man on the street was left to do just this and a much better car evolved. My car came up from Colorado and has the 215 cu.in motor from a 63 Buick. The transmission is a T-10 5 speed. The previous owner was a hot rodder and as a result this car has been tweaked and stroked to produce far in excess of stock horsepower and torque. Recently repainted 23-10-07
This late ( december) 74 Jensen Healey comes with factory 5 speed transmission coupled to the famous ( infamous) Lotus twin cam 907 engine. Lotus would use this engine in their Elite and Eclat models. I got this car on ebay from California where it has been since leaving Arizona. New Superlites 23-10-07
